SOLD OUT!!! If you are still waiting ..well This is one of those windows of opportunity that we get in life. Set your alarm clock early and Take you 1K to Your Dealer.. I'm thinking by tomorrow some time we will get the sold out news....Got mine I'm sleeping in .
Now haul A$$ ........
XR1200 Flat Tracker accelerating thru 110+ for 120+??? It burys the needle hard. Please Don't tell my mom
If there are only a handful of bikes left, wouldn't Yamaha have released the bikes to the public by now?
Why would they spend money holding PR rides if the supply is close to being all gone? I don't think they will hold off till they sold the very last one to release it to the public.
I think the sales are lower than Yamaha expected, they couldn't have foretold the economy in 2008 when they first started planning for the new and improve
. The sales of big engine bikes have slowed and affected all major m/c companies.
On the other hand, has anyone tried to find a Kawasaki Ninja 250 lately, can't find one here in SoCal. The big engine bikes are heavily being discounted at the dealers, not the 600s.
Just my personal opinion.
I could be wrong and way off base and the last
is sold within the hour.

I just noticed what appears to be an XR750TT and 883R.
Is that what they are?
Hey Kev,
Yes and no. They are replicas. Street Tracker replicas. I built the XR flat tracker first and liked it so much I had to put together a "Matched" XRTT.. Both bikes utilize a lot of the same mechanical components . They are both very high performance bottom up build 1200cc and I'm here to tell ya They Fly. The only mechanical difference is, I put twin plug heads on the TT/ The flat tracker uses a high energy single plug ignition. The carbs are different (for Now) There's an S&S on the TT and a much superior mikuni on the flat tracker. And last, the final drive gearing is low on the XR (for wheelies) and super tall on the TT(for top speed).I had The TT going so fast ,had to be 145 or so ,That I was afraid I was going to blow the body work off of it. After I backed off I realized I still had another gear!!!. I’ll get some more pics up soon . They are really unique and both well received wherever they go . My Inspiration during the TT build this past winter was that My Father and I would ride them together at Daytona Bike Week 08. We did and felt like Celebrities on these bikes. Every where we parked the crowds circled. I will Treasure Those 4 days we spent in Daytona forever. I ‘m looking forward to Bike week 09.We will be the Father&Son on a New 2009
and a Big Bad MT-01. Can’t wait
What a great picture of some really beautiful bikes. Nice story too about you and your Dad, I am sure it meant alot to both of you. I am hoping to be in Daytona for Bike Week 09...I will look for the guy with the Big Bad MT-01, Im sure there will only be 1 there!!..Thanks for the pics. VVMax

Please don't be jealous.Everything is relative and the grass is always greener on the other side. In the big scheme of things in this crazy world it's, as the late George Carlin said, just "Stuff" .Looks to Me like you have two nice sons or grandsons there.I was blessed with a Terrific/Beautiful /Smart/Self motivated daughter who can care less about my collection of motor head stuff. I have worked hard,am very grateful and love and enjoy all the "Stuff" I have. But I'm praying for a Grandson. .... Or we're gonna have a hell of yard sale one day
