Looks like the plan to release it down under. Not sure about an off road version, but then again t only takes some cutting and welding to put things into the right perspective...

The new
will be sold in Australia, only about a year after the Americans have had the privelage of riding them.
I agree that the cooling system will have to be modified, guarded, repositioned or it will get hammered on our roads. Can't be too much longer until we see them around, and none of us are getting any younger. Might be an old man on the pension if Yamaha take any longer releasing them.
Don't know how they will go with Knobbys and a beer rack, but i am sure they will be unbeaten in a Hill Climbing Event.

Well..it seem,s late 2008 or early 2009..will only be sold by pre-order no show room sale,s (price to be confirmed)

Hey, According the Yamaha Australia Web Site, Orders will be taken from July 1st,2008 at Dealers for delivery in November 2008. No price yet but it will be exy, nothing is cheap in Australia even if it is in the US!!!!

Sorry Che, didn't mean to sound like I didn't believe you. I couldn't find this on Yamaha Australia after reading your comment, so I impatiently flicked them an email and surprisingly got a response back quite quickly. Will be interesting to see how many will become available here?

You could not buy a "Vmax" new in N.S.W..untill after 93..silly skipp,s
