Is it just me or has the "buzz" subsided? It seems like (there for awhile) every time I logged on to the forum ther was a new video or article about the new Max with new news. Now it seems like all of that has peaked and everybody is rambling about silly stuff...to pass the time. Is it just me?

I mentioned this a couple weeks ago. 'Since the watch left... The chick with the doggies from NZ lightened it up a pinch, but she had to quit barking about getting a free Max. Personally, I'm re-roofing at present. It's going well and the weather has been perfect for October.

Yes the Buzz has subsided but we should have quite a Bee's nest here soon!
The watch left the forum for my wrist. It’s dark and beautiful! It arrived yesterday and I already took it out for a ride and to a late night party. Next stop, 2 days of work and then off to Daytona Biketoberfest Thursday thru Sunday.
Thanks again to Oliver,StarVmax.com and ehansen_007 he is the member/camera man who originally got the watch and made it available for the contest. . And lastly all the entrants and participants in the contest.

I think the economy has something to do with the tempering of the buzz.
I think some will decided to hold off on their purchase due to the economic collapse and the failed bail out package.
Hoover's bail out of the banks after the 1929 collapse ended up with the banks failing two years later. Japan's attempt to shore up failed businesses in the late 80's and early 90's also failed.
Bush had models that showed them that this action they took failed. After Hoover's failed model, FDR's model worked, so why didn't the Bush Administration follow the successful model instead of the failed model??
People are very angry, to top it off, AIG executives were awarded with lavish trips after they got bailed out with two packages, 87 and an additional 35 billion dollars...VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT,..otherwise it's the same old song and dance routine and nothing will change...
Who's in charge of this ship?...lol....I get it, stop blaming Bush for everything..lol..

Congrats again, we know you'll wear it well..
Thanks again . I really like the watch and It doesn't go along with the Yenko. Sorry to tell you they are both keepers.. I put this scan together just for you Bad_Max. Please don your drool cup..
I second a previous comment about the economy. It's been on my mind lately and the impact on my employer. We slashed our projects by more than 60%. No one is making any financial moves, not companies nor individuals.
I still think that I will take possession of my
come December. But, overall economic outlook is not looking very positive at local levels. I keep looking online to see if other parts of the country is less affected.
Thanks Hangar. For those that don't know much about muscle cars. That Camaro is one of 201 Camaros that were ordered by a Chevy dealer (Don Yenko Chevrolet)in PA. Once the cars arrived at his dealership they were "upgraded" in several areas, but also were allowed to maintain a special 5 Year Warranty provided by Chevrolet. Hangar is one of the lucky few to own one of these brutes This car is the original Tire Fryer!
The 1969 Yenko Chevrolet Camaro 427 was the delicious conversion of muscle car need and a factory's desire to please.
To Ford fans, Carroll Shelby is the high-priest of performance. Chevy loyalists revere a Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, car dealer named Don Yenko. Yenko had a deserved reputation for driving, building, and selling dominating Chevrolets, starting in '65 with well-crafted super Corvairs. He advanced to installing 427-cid Corvette V-8s in '67 and '68 Camaros, performing 118 of the transplants. These $4,200 ponys ran in the low 13s right off his shop floor.
He was so successful that at his insistance, Chevy agreed to factory-build a batch of 1969 Camaros with 427 engines, and to provide full 5-year/50,000-mile warranties. This was done under the Central Office Production Order system, which had previously been used to satisfy special requests from non-performance fleet buyers.
Yenko ordered 201 of the C.O.P.O. 69 Camaros, but other dealers could order them as well, and 500 or more were produced. All were basically the same: They had the iron-block and head, solid-lifter L72 427, which Chevy pegged at 425 bhp but which Yenko rated a more-realistic 450; Hurst four-speed manual or dual-gate automatic; heavy-duty 4.10:1 Posi; cowl-induction hood; heavy-duty Z28 suspension with F70xl4 tires; and other go-fast goodies. The package added about $800 to a base coupe, including $490 for the engine.
Chevy delivered the Camaros with no special markings, but Yenko added striping and "Yenko Super Car" insignia to the ones he sold. Chevy delivered the standard COPO Camaros with dog-dish hubcaps and no exterior badging; not even the engine was identified as a 427. Yenko ordered his with 15-inch rally wheels, bigger front roll bar, and 140 mph-speedometer, then dressed them with "sYc" (Yenko Super Car) insignia and striping, and made available mags, gauges, headers, and other items that could push the price past $4,600. As delivered, Yenko Camaros turned effortless mid-13s. Most were fitted with headers and slicks, even for street work, and in this form recorded 11.94-secomd ETs at 114 mph.
