Hahahaha! GREAT Video! Thanks for the B-day wishes guys, was just another day, but at 54 you begin to really appreciate each one. I did get my new Yamaha GYTR suit tho. That was the highlight of the day! Now I just need the B-day Max to throw a leg over (instead of a Vrod)

How did I miss this... HAPPY BIRTHDAY B_M!!

thx god you did not do it. The day you got spanked by the max would have been the worst day here for all of us listening to you cry about the mistake you made

Thanks Steve, & guys, was a learning experience for me on my B-day. The Vrod does have its advantages, Rider comfort being the main one. Resale is also a concern, and this particular Vrod would hold its resale very well. Handling was ok, but the 280 rear tire prevents one from dipping thru the twisties. There's so many one off parts on this bike it's ridiculous. There's custom chrome panels made that you can't buy anywhere, and a slew of other parts that were hand made for it. I've wanted it for 2 yrs now, but after seeing the actual numbers for the
, I am glad I held off on the Vrod. This one was a harder decision than it seems, simply because I know the owner a long time and had always told him I'd own it one day. Everytime I went to his house, I was always saying, "you better keep it up for me, you know I'm coming to get it" and stuff like that. I REALLY did want this bike, for more than 2 yrs now. The 09 ride at Daytona has ruined me. Once you feel how responsive the bike is, and feel that famous V4 pull, now refined and taken to a new level, everything else pales by comparison. 7 measley weeks to go and it will be here. I almost gave up the dream for this sexzy temptress I had wanted for so long..
It was a tuffer decision than you might think.. I could be riding this right now.

Hey, you've gotta like the V-Rod--it's a weak copy of the
. If you're one of those guys that just has to hava Harley for the name the V-Rod would be the best choice but I don't think it will keep up with the Raider. And I know for a fact it won't keep up with an old 88

After the Arkansas rally I was tempted to cancel my Max and buy a Raider--beautiful bike with lots of torque. Then I realized it's still a Harley look-a-like and the Max is one of a kind not to mention all the raw power it is bound to possess. Can't wait!!
