BKing possibly discontinued in the US for 09 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I just took a peek at the Zook website only to find that there is no 2k9 model offered yet for next year. Seems that, for now, there is not one offered. I am actually saddened to see that Max's top naked competitor will not be around for the shootout that everyone is waiting for.

JayHawk, do you know anything about this?

Yep - no 09 for the Burger. Somehow I can't believe that. Sales would have had to be atrocious for Zooki to drop the bike after only 1 year...

They had BK's at Daytona for test rides so I doubt if they discontinued the bike.

Yep, it's gone...at least for '09. Sales were horrible. I could've gotten a new one local for $8500. Dealer said they haven't sold a one.

Is there a Way to elaborate how much Bikes have been sold in US ?

The B-King isn't a big Seller in Germany either, but that is mostly due to the 'beuatiful' Exhaust and a Lot to see what they brought up for Production when compared to the Studies they showed.

I just couldn't stand the strange looking tank. Otherwise I imagine it would have been a good bike.

I dont remember where I read it, but the number that was imported to the US is around 350 units.

That's too bad, because it's a great bike. Whether you like the looks or not, the performance is terrific.

Thanks for the Info. 350 ?? That's awful Less than i would have estimated. I would have said, 3500 would have been less than i expected.

I know one thing is for sure...almost every Suzuki dealership I've been in within the last couple of months has one of these bikes collecting dust. I'm surprised they didn't sell better??? They are a pretty kick-ass bike, although I'd much rather have the Max any day!

I sat on one once and I didn't like how my knees were stuffed up against those bulky air intakes. I think the bike just struggled to have an identity. Perhaps if they would've tweaked the old SV1000 motor and made this a v-twin, they may have sold some more units??? That's my opinion...an in-line four, although extremely quick & powerful, was the wrong choice of engine for that bike.

I guess the fall of the B-king will make the Max that much more unique!!!
