Great story Nunzio! I love that stuff!

So do I...the smartest thing you did was keep the RoadRunner (and your wife)...that dart gt was a runner too.

I bled Mopar in my younger days, also had a 66 & 69 Charger both with a 383, a 72 Duster with a 340 4 speed (to bracket race), and a 72 Challenger before that '70.

Yes Spidi I know I should have kept the convertable....just like I know I should get the '09 Max.

Yeah, the GT was a fun little car. I grafted on a spare Carter AVS & used to switch punkin's with the Road Runner then go hunting for 327 Novas. Opened a few bowtie driver's eyes.

You Mopar guys have probably already heard of this but if you are looking for a neat new toy, go talk to your friendly local Mopar parts guy. He has something the sales guys can't sell you. A NHRA approved 09 Challenger Drag Car. Plexi windows, no interior. You picturing it? I am sure if you dig in and do some research you can get all the details on line. He quoted me around 30 something or so grand. He mentioned this to me when I was asking him about getting about another 100 horse out of a 09 Hemi Challenger 6 speed I had just test drove. Nothing available yet from Mopar. The new Challegers are sharp! I crawled under one and think they did a nice job.

Haven't heard of that one but our local Mopar dealer has a new 6.1 sitting on his lot. Gorgeous car!

The new retro future Challenger is over 4000 lbs but it is a solid ride! I like it alot. I don't like the 3 thousand dollar addendum my local dealer is trying to tack on the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi cars! The way things are going with the economy, it will not surprise me that these cars will be had for close to invoice soon.
As WE all know, patience is a virtue!

Had a buddy with a little Dodge Dart with a basically stock 340, just a holly double pump, headers, and 4.11 gears with some street slicks and he was cutting mid to high 13's all day.

Its all in the weight, just like the new Max, its gotta shed some pounds.

Spidi .....they need to resurect the Smokey and The Bandit Model...I always wanted the Black T/A with Sally Fields sitting beside me.

Most extreme Dart I ever saw was a 64, running slant 6, bored out to accept 427 chevy pistons, a supercharger puffing thru a 4 bbl and 4 speed box, dana rear & slicks, cutting 10's and lifting front wheels Now that was SLICK! Roger Vinci Automotive, Longwood, Fl. UGLY tho

B_M the Dart sounds pissa!

Cruzin when I had my white T/A, I went out with this chick that was blond and resembled Sally Field. The kicker was she was a little gymnast. How could I get mad at her breaking of my armrest riding the pony in that car? OH the good old days! At least if I make it into the nursing home, I have some fine memories...

That's what life is, a compilation of memories and experiences. Many here have opted for memories!

Has anybody ever stopped to think about renting a ? What would it be worth to RENT a new for a weekend? Fat a$$, slow a$$, Harleys are $119 a day plus Insurance & mileage here. My 19k will be used up before I know it, & those rides & memories are MINE to keep, FOREVER! Priceless!

Hrmm, not a bad idea. Hey Spider, lets buy a few each & and open "Wild Ride Motorcyle Rentals" down in Costa Rica/Ecuador where the money is and ride year round.
