The orders may have been all placed by now but I have a feeling that all those numbers not showing up on this sites claim number sequence are dealer orders for their stock which means a lot of 2009
's still available for purchase.

Don't know about this, one of, if not the largest, dealer in Dallas was holding off ordering the
for stock. As of last week he had ordered exactly "0" although he was considering ordering "maybe a couple". He is reluctant because of the very different terms from a normal dealer purchase and @ 18K retail this would be by far the most expensive bike in Yamaha's line-up. Just a thought, there may not be that many available post allocation.

Just got the word that I've got an October delivery date. Also, a revision to my claim number: it's 261331, not 261361 (misread it when I first got it).
All of this talk of an impending sell-out made me nervous enough to call my dealer and confirm my price. MSRP. Would have been nice to get a bit of a break, but I'm just glad to not be paying a mark-up -- which we might start seeing once road tests start hitting the zines in the next few weeks.
