I was recently tempted by Shuberth as well, until I did some research. While they do offer more features than most Helmets out there, they didn't fare so well in the testing that alot of the magazines did. Particularly in the "noise" department. Do some research before you buy. I bought several to try, and will choose the ones I like, & relist the others on Ebay. I just grab'd this the other day as it was New "old stock" and these were very nice Helmets by Shoei before the X11, Z11 series. I tend to like the plain look too Honestly, it's hard to beat Shoei. Especially @ under 100 bux..

I saw the SCHUBERTH S1 PRO and SCHUBERTH S1 Carbon. I like them both, having difficulty deciding
Bad (Buy a Lid a day)Max is correct in doing your research before putting out the doagh. I myself have gone through lids like underwear to find the "perfect" lid, and found one thing in common...the more ventilation, the noisier the lid is, no matter what they claim.
i've had Arai Rx7's, and Suomy's with air scoops everywhere, AGV Rossi lids, just lots of noise, and minimum airflow.
My best was a Shoei Z-11 (similar to the RF 1000) and I now wear a Shoei X-11 and Arai Quantum F. Shoei great airflow little noisy and minimum buffeting. Arai not much air flow, quit, lots of buffetting....guess its hard to have your cake and eat it too.
Hope thias helps.

What I have found out is Shoei is darned hard to beat!
