I don't understand how the earliest bikes were to be in late oct early nov, which have now been pushed to DEC (according to my dealer as of today) (order # 261434), yet still half of the claims on here are saying oct/nov?? what am I missing?

My apologies, however being that this may be a turbulant subject for some, I wasn't going to change anything for any specific member unless they give me a specific note to change their delivery month, which I will gladly do. A lot of this information is sketchy at the present time. If there were some type of blanket memorandum from either FXSTEIN or from Yamaha that dictated the exact delay time and for what number of claim numbers, or for all for that matter, I would adjust them accordingly. The reason for the delay is unclear and some of the information that I have seen is a bit in conflict, although it appears that European orders may still be anticipated to be on time and only early US orders have gotten the official nod that there will be a delay. Who knows the reason, if at present, it is only the early US orders and not ALL, maybe it is small adjustment for which they need to play catch-up which will cause trouble for only the first group until production can be brought back up to speed. Perhaps it is a overseas shipping issue being the European orders appear at present to be on schedule. I will adjust your time frame and will attempt to assess the safety of changing others and still remain accurate. Possibly FXSTEIN can give some direction on this matter and I will glady assist. I just don't want anyone mad at me for changing their delivery month without blanket accurate information or their direct request to do so. I hope that answers your question.

Man, what a bummer! I didn't pre-order one and I still feel frustrated. I feel bad for those who were PROMISED a certain date and then now the alternate date is not even certain.
Maybe Yamaha is delaying the shipment to the US until the dollar goes up in value.
Sorry, Yamaha, but I don't think the US economy is picking up anytime soon. People are very angry at the bail out of these rich financial institution with the ordinary man's money.
People are going spend as little as possible now.
