So, I decided to call Yamaha in Cypress to ask a few questions. I discovered that Yamaha has 3 distribution centers around the country. The release date is November (when they release for distribution). My number shows as "to be delivered" in December - to Colorado. #261938.
Also, I asked if there was any material or communication being sent to buyers. They said noting is being sent from Yamaha and the only communication is from the individual dealer where the bike was purchased.

I will be checking out the bike in Milwaulkee, WI this saturday. I need to determine if the bike is too tall for my short a$$ (5'6". I've lowered my '97 about 1.5' in suspension and another 1" with a RMS seat.

I think you’ll be ok at 5’6, and especially with the bike lowered.
I’m only 5’7 with a 32 in inseam but I guess I have long feet?
In the pic I had my left foot down pretty close to flat and still setting comfy without issue.
My daily rider is a 36in high seat DRZ400 dual sport…..now that’s one foot and one ass cheek at a time:0)
I don’t think it’s too bad; I’m not flat foot when both feet are down but all toes can make contact. Now without bias I will say this bike is well suited for 6ft and taller, but it’s what the individual is comfortable with.
You got to go try the bike and see if it fits. After you feel how top heavy IT IS NOT, you may think the height is not that bad.
