Re:New VMax spotted on the Roads of Italy 8 Months ago
I don't really care if someone got a glimpse of a new
. There has been enough carrot dangling already. If Yamaha wants to sell this bike, they better hurry up and get off their duff, and show it to us. I'm really tired of waiting, plus if it's only going make 210 at the crank, it is still going to fall short on power, unless they have some hidden secret to make it weigh 400 lbs. That's the only way it's going to stay with a B-King. Just my two cents.

Good news is that Yamaha's questionnaire shows that there is no doubt what the public wants. Anything below 200 horsepower will not cut it with buyers. France was one of the great markets for the original
and it was a commercial success. The new
is most likely to become a 2009 model now. In France everyone still have to settle for a pitiful 100 horsepower version. Can you imagine this? Yamaha will launch its most powerful production model ever, and the French motorcyclists have to settle with less than half of that power.
Re:New VMax spotted on the Roads of Italy 8 Months ago
if you think that the new
will be a motorcycle for everyone, then think twice. The
will be a very expensive flagship model produced in limited numbers. Still Belton said; "We'll sell 100 bikes. No problem."

Yeah, and Sasquatch was riding the mystery motorcycle.
I've had it with the "soon to be released" new
. I've owned four Vmaxes over the last 10 years and was ready for something fresh last year. Waited thru the August/September Yamaha new model release period and nothing -- again! Bought a Harley VRSCR Streetrod, which at least has upside down forks...even if it isn't all that exciting.
