When I went to my local dealer, the salesmen seemed a little confused.
I said I wanted to buy a new  . The salesman said "good luck". I asked if they were taking orders. He finally said yes and we sat down. It seemed like I knew more about the process than they did.
I handed them my check and they said thank you. I asked if I should get a receipt. He said sure. Just a moment. After 15 minutes of waiting, a different guy from a back office appeared and asked if I wanted a copy of the paper work. Of course. Thats why I'm waiting here.
He went and made a copy of a purchase order. It just detailed all of the fees and taxes. The grand total is $20,498.
I never got a "Delivery Claim form". Should I go back and get one? Do I need it?

Same thing has happen to me. I did not get a Delivery Clain Form. I am going back tomorrow. If they can not produce one pronto I am cancelling my $1000 deposit payment, and heading for San Jose Yamaha which is not too far from me.-Rayster

Follow up: I contacted my saleperson and told him about what I had read here on StarVmax about the Delivery Claim Form I should have received yesterday. He called me back an hour later with the verification number and Faxed me the Form. I lost one day 6/7 instead of 6/6. I am thankful however that the info was here so I could act on it. Thank you for the info.

Yes you should ask for it. Its in a pdf file on the website for ever order they enter into the system. They need to click on that little pdf logo next to your order and hit print.
It will show you the details I have posted on the homepage.

I was at my local dealer today. Mine was ordered 6/4 also. I never received a delivery claim form. I read about it here last night on the sight. I asked my dealer about it. He logged onto the special dealer site while I watched. We never seen the delivery claim form. So he called his Yamaha rep on the phone to confirm my order. The yamaha rep confirmed it over the phone. He gave all my info over the phone including e-mail address saying we will receive updates from Yamaha on the status of our order. The yamaha rep assured me that I was going to get a new  . So I guess you don't have to have a delivery claim form to prove your order of a new  . I wish I had one though. Just for documentation.

In our country (RUSSIA), I have gone to dealer, have asked, whether take they an advance payment for new  ??? Have answered, that come in November.......
