I'm 6ft with straight bars on my 02VMax - improves the riding position and handling for me - how do you think the 08max would feel with straight bars?
I am 6'2 or about 183cm
Bike feels great. Love the proportions and the seating position.

I've read the specs and spent ages looking at the pictures - this is the first time I've had some real idea what I'm in for
It really is one sweet looking piece of hardware - big & beefy - I'm going to have a grin a mile wide come November.
Thanks
Definitely not too small. I am 6'2 and over 220 lbs. Perfect setup for me. No dedicated mounts for crashbars but I am sure the aftermarket will come out with some. No idea about the horn.
I am about 5'6" tall. Do you forsee any issues? Hate to say it but, would I look like a little kid riding a huge bike?
Also, you said in your video the bike is ready to accept a 240mm tire. Does that mean you can just swap the rubber or do you need to get a new rim first?

All you big guys (200+ lbs) are doing it the right, more HP to haul our butts around town.
I remember couple years ago going in to buy sprockets for my 750 (1 down in front...2 up in the rear) and the first thing the parts guy said was...."don't you think its about time to get a 1000".......got rid of the rocket and got the Max.
I' 5' 8" 215......lotta lard to haul around.
Chris
Thanks for the video. It was great to see the little things like the riders view, the adjustment setup for rear shock, closeup of the diff centre and the swingarm area, the better rear views, close view of gear lever and its relationship to footpeg etc. I like seeing that sort of detail and more.
I'm going to download the full version and take a better look.
My brother and I put down deposits as soon as we were able to here in Australia. November is something to really look forward to.
