Clutch Issue 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I got my bike out of the shop for carb problems and noticed that when i put it in gear with the clutch pulled in it still wanted to go. I checked the fuild level and it was a little low(refilled). The master cylinder didnt seem to be putting out a lot of pressure so i bought a rebuild kit and corrected that problem but i still can not build pressure. I checked and made sure that i have pressure at the end of the hose before it going into the bike. I tried bleeding it, sometimes I have fuild out and sometimes not. What can I do to repair this issue without taking it back to the shop. Anything I need to be looking for? Thanks for any help.

If you still have intermitant fluid comming out, and there are no leaks, you still have air in the lines....it has to be a steady flow.
Bleeding lines take forever unless you prime the lines first. Changed to a braided hose on my clutch, and it took almost 30 minutes to bleed.

The trick is in bleeding the line. It's fairly easy to take a piece of vacuum hose and slip it over the bleeder valve. Stick the other end in the bottom of a can or funnel and make sure the can or funnel has brake fluid in it. Now bleed brakes as usual, crack the bleeder valve open and pump the clutch handle. Watch the air come up inside the can or funnel and it will also suck fluid back in. You'll feel the clutch handle tighten as the air escapes. Should be good to go once its bled.

What Bad_Max said is very good I had the same prob. with mine, and i had a hand held pump.. I taped on the clutch line or just shake the sh*t out of it. you should be good to go..See if it works..

I did just about the same as bad max using a clear bottle with a small tip small enough for a length of vacuum just long enough to reach above the master cylinder jus an inch above is good work the lever slowly and let gravity take its course works great for brakes too Hope this helps

When I rebuilt my cylinders, I got the fluid to move by placing my finger over the bleeder hole when I released the clutch handle. This made the master pull fluid down from the res instead of sucking air back through the bleeder.
