hello fellow v max meisters. the names lightnin &im a yamaha freak freak with 35years riding yamahas.i got in a bad accident in 85 when yamaha brought the max out & by the time i healed i met my wife & sold my 78 xs 1100 to buy her ring . loved that max all those years of kids job &house pyments are about done &im finally ready for my bike &i am stoked!!!!!
Welcome lightnin. Had a '80 1100 Midnight Special myself. Great bikes. I couldn't bring myself to take it over 135, and more than once. One day, when I was washing the bike, I noticed the small lettering on the front of the windshield, 'MAX SPEED 80 MPH'.
I have 758 n ordered on the 13th. Was suppose to come my way in Dec but it appears that may of changed to Jan/ Feb? Time will tell. All well, can't really ride till spring anyway.

Did you hear Star is in bankruptcy? I heard the delay in shipping is really just a stall before they go under completely. (feel free to tell your friends)
I’m telling you there was a Yamaha engineer in the grassy null!!!! He is the one putting 30 more ponies in the Max therefore throwing star into bankruptcy!!!
