Got to run the Conti Race Attack tire against a brand new stock Bridgestone. Going up and down the local mountain road a few times, the comparison was more than a surprise. Now ride comparisons are always subjective - so take this with a grain of salt.

The Race Attack Tire is definitely very neutral on corner entry, through the apex all the way to the corner exit. Not only that, its soft side wall compound and wide surface patch make it hook up really nice. Not once did I spin the tire on corner exit. Scraping the pegs (and in my case the shortened foot stand) is no problem for that tire. Once you are at the pegs, you are w/o a chicken strip in the rear and maybe 1/8 of an inch or about 5mm in the front.

After a couple passes for video footage (to be posted soon), we swapped bikes and I took Tony's up and down the entire mountain to warm up the tires. Once warmed up, I started the same sequence I ran on the Race Attacks and to my huge surprise, the first 4 turns I spend more drifting the rear than anything else. Glad that VMax drifts so softly (as long as you have your throttle hand under control). Might have been the very cool temps today (high 50s), but I expected almost the opposite.

The Conti Race Attack certainly out performs the Metzler 240 by leaps and bounces, even more so the 210, but to my big surprise I'd say I can go faster than on the stock Bridgestone 200. We did this without timing or direct rider to rider comparison. Just feels that way.

I'd say that Conti Race Attack is definitely a winner in the 200-240 class for 18 inch wheels.

What more can you ask for?

The looks os a wild 240 with the handling os a 200 series tire, just with more traction.

I think I am in love all over again. Can't stop raving... Want to go back so bad.

Hey All,

I now have the 240 on my 2009 Monster !

Also went to a 130 on the front--Both Metzler 880's.

Bike feels alot better handling all around !

However, It now scares me in a whole new way !

I used to count on smoking the rear under WOT !

Now weather it's WOT or roll on It has become a Wheelie King !

I Love It !
