You still shift with your foot. The quick shifter lefts you power shift without using the clutch for upshifts. You lift the shifter and the engine fule delivery gets killed for the amount of time specified. That in return unloads the gearbox and makes for a nice, clean and extremely fast shift.
Yes you can shift normal with the clutch. You can also set rpm limits.
still fail to see the point in having the tank. i dont even insure my car when the snow is off the ground. i just ride my bike everywhere and use it for long distance trips and during the summer i hit the highway almost every weekend. haven`t had a problem yet.

But you are the pro. Your shots look killer. Have been looking at the 1D years ago and decided to go with the 10D instead. It was a good start and I learned a lot. Still, I am an amateur. Don't really know what I am doing. I just shoot so many pics, that eventually I get a few right....
If you ever see mee doing something wrong or being stupid with the camera, don't hesitate to call me out. I'd love to learn.
Question Toecutter. What is that rear cowl made out of steel or fiberglass? I just recieved my screen and am now aware that it is not a pure carbon fiber piece. I am a little disappointed that the only part that is pure carbon fiber are the mounting brackets. The original photos really didn't show that the carbon fiber is just a layin on the top middle part of a fiberglass piece. It's very nice, but not really what I expected. My bad for not inqirering before I made the purchase. I have been holding off wrapping my headlight trim until it arrived to see which way the weave was going in the piece. I now see that that really doesn't matter as to matching the sides. Guess I'll have to try and make a mould of the whole thing and fabricate my own pure carbon part before I decide what to do with it. Back to the workshop
