After being able to test the Akrapovic exhaust systems on the 2009 VMax, I had to come up with a bolder look for the setup. The baffles definitely had to go, not only for performance reason.

The black end-caps are a little to mild for the look of a wild VMax. 

Here is one of the designs that I came up with that leverages a separate base and invisible mounting screws. 

Needs to be done in black for both the base and the end cap. Through the use of a separate base, the end cap can be taller and bigger in diameter, without interfering with the underlying mounting bolts of the muffler itself.

Have also been thinking about integrating LEDs into the end caps for brake lights and turn signals.

Could make for a wild look with red&amber dual LEDs installed. Light red dim as running light, bright red when braking and amber for turn signals.

Now I need to figure out if I want to replace the little Carbon Fiber heat shields with more intricate parts. 

So many possibilities, so little time... ;-)
