Reporting live from Indianapolis moto GP

Race fans were welcomed to wonderful cool temps as they entered the haloed grounds of the Indianapolis Motor speedway for the Centennial celebration of a life time. Many riders discovered to their suprise on Friday a chance of a lifetime a lap ride around this awesome track.   I watched in awe as hundreds of riders zoomed past experincing the thrill that usually only a few world class racers enjoy.      There was also a Pit walk open to the public for an hour and a half in Gasoline ally that was sure to be a sure hit as racers and crew worked feverishly to get there bikes ready. There was also around a hundred vendors with apparel and bike merchandise and they were very busy.
Ralph Sheheen from Speed TV was on the sixth street stage most the day with a Question and Answer session with all the best riders like American Nicky Haden, Colin Edwards, and of course Valention Rossi and approx. around 15 other riders. Each rider answered several questions from the crowd and then Ralph auction off personal items donate by the riders. Valentino donated his Gloves signed of course and they went for a mere $2000 dollars. Jorge Lorenzo also donated his pucks scuffed in from the Bruno race where he had that famous slide right in front of Vali. The auction was a wonderful crowd pleaser as the crowd grew to enormous size.
All the Booths and tents were enjoyed by the fans and the Yamaha tents were packed most the day. The main tent was jammed packed with racer goers enjoying the chance to sit on  one of Valentinos bikes as they had there pictures taken. The booth also featured Yamaha  drums that you could rock out on. The Star tent was busy as usuall with 3 Gorgeous Vmaxs parked inside including the new Candy apple red 2010. The Iconic bike was a hit with lots of factory teams visiting as well as Valentinos crew and fans were busy shooting pictures of the custom one off bike all day. We have some great photos to post later but now I must go . Will log on again soon to post todays event for Saturday and add to this blog.
