GoPro Hero HD Mounting options

Posted by fxstein in Blogging

I have received a lot of questions about how to mount the all new GoPro Hero HD camera on the new VMax.

One of the nice things about the Hero HD - when you get the motorsports package - is that it comes with a ton of mounting options. Stick on mounts for straight and curved surfaces, a major suction cup, that holds on thigh to anything smooth and flat and various extensions to get any angle you like.

In addition you can get rather cheap options for handle bard clamps and roll cage clamps (used for the massive front forks).

Monster Weekend comming to an end

Posted by fxstein in Blogging

A Monster Marathon Weekend is finally coming to its end. Starting Friday night after some dyno sessions, we took on a massive site migration that replace virtually every single line of code on our website. Its like going from 32 to 64 bit.

We change the foundational software (Joomla), converted PMs and profiles to a new community system, upgraded the forum software, installed new blog and review modules and then put everything back together.

Its not perfect yet but the community response has been overwhelming. Thanks for all the PMs and messages. Many of you seem to like what we did to the site. There is still much work left to be done, but it will take a couple more days until our to do list is all crossed out.

Time to revive the fxstein Blog and start a few new...

It has been over a year that I posted on my old fxstein blog (www.fxstein.com/blog). The old outdated software just made it painful to add new things. With www.starVmax.com growing fast and requiring a lot of attention, the old blog fell asleep.

Part of the re-design and overhaul of www.starVmax.com included the plan to not only revive my blog bu to allow every member on the site to write their own if they would like.

Anything motorcycle related is fine. If you want to share your day to day experience with your new VMax in a more confined environment than the forum pages, this might be for you.
