The #1 online community for the All New Next Generation Yamaha/Star VMax.
This website is free to all non commercial members. In order to fund site operations we rely entirely on advertising and site donations. As such all commercial vendors and entities that want to promote or talk about their products on www.starVmax.com are required to join as Vendor or Site Sponsor members.
We offer a simple signup process and support major credits cards and Paypal as a medium for site donations.
As a Vendor your user id will be highlighted as such and you will be allowed to place back links to your own website and products into your user signature.
New product announcements need to be placed into the appropriate vendor folder on the forum. We encourage Site Vendors to stay clear from each other and to avoid commenting or talking down on other vendors products.
Currently we offer two subscription levels for vendors:
A Monthly donation subscription at USD 39,- per month
An annual donation subscription at USD 390,- per year - you get 2 months for free
In addition we offer a Site Sponsor subscription program. In addition to the features of a vendor subscription, we offer banners on the major forum pages, as well as links on our site sponsor page. Please contact us at

I went all summer without a speeding ticket. [/quote]
What radar detector do you use with the HARD system? Any problems installing it. Is it hard to see in the day or blinding at night? I read the lights short out in the rain, is this true. Are there any negatives with this system?

I don't know what to say.....but I'm puzzeled and disappointed that my Top Speed is disconnected, cause riding without it SUCKS!
You should not need any rubber gloves. If anything they make things worse - but I doubt it has anything todo with that.
I had the same issue with the stock bike. I ended up changing the magnetic disk on the rear wheel. That fixed the issue.
It was pretty clear as the 240 with the new wheel/magnetic disk never had any issues, but when I flipped back to the stock wheel the ABS would come on.
I would recommend to have your dealer look into this.
(I got a clear integrated tail light a couple months back. With my blacked out look I was hoping for the smoked version so I have not installed it just yet.)

Yeah...and 2 of them are the same bike!
Come on Rick, We know you'd like to win but...... .............
I called them and said my bike has undergone some changes from that first photo...they said they would take it in consideration and decide. I said remove the first and just use the second...they did what they did regardless of what I suggested.
But if it helps me get a better shot....heck yea! i'M PRETTY SURE THE "P-40 WarHawk theme isn't going to score any big points with Star Execs.....if'n you get my drift!
It'd be similar to GM holding a Corvette Custom car show and there was a German WW2 themed car with swastikas on it..... not gonna happen.
Ha ha - that's a good one.
You would be surprised about the crew. They have some awesome guys there. You definitely have a chance at that - but than again competition is stiff...
