TOPIC: How come none of my searches ever work

How come none of my searches ever work 2 years, 7 months ago #1

I am a late comer to the site and have many questions but when I search for the answers rather than asking questions that have already been addressed, none of the found links work. They all say the page isn't available or something like that.

For instance, I want to know about the X Pipe and what it does, the pcv, the cat sass etc.. but when I search for any of them in previous threads and the links are displayed, none of them ever contain any info when I click on them.

Can't help on thisone, I have the same issue,...
There's a few more things which don't work with me (eg: adding my signature, even though it's set correct in my profile, it doesn't show up)

Hope some interesting solutions come out of this post

Hmmm,

Let me check out that search problem first.

I just searched for "X Pipe" and all the results do work for me.

What browser are you using? Must be a bug in our software that might be related to the browser you are using.

We are about to upgrade the entire site after MotoGP, that will address many outstanding issues.

Thx!

Thanks for the support fxstein!

I use Google Chrome mostly, however, I've checked it and have the same issue with IE

The exact error is:
"The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu."

Happens when you click the results after performing a search.

That usually only happens from the advanced search screen..

i've had this problam with the search as well. search will find the location but then tell you the page doesn't exist when you click on the blue link (this is with vista & ie8).

I have tested any possible combination on Mac and Windows XP but not on Vista.

Search does work on all these platforms. This must be a Vista specific issue that I have not been able to re-produce.
