When you pull the old badges off there is a rubber hose thing on the back of each on, are they needed on the new ones when you put them on your bike? Someone told me they keep water out of the frame but there is a drain hole at the bottom of the frame, so why the hose thing? If this is a "must have" for the bike I'll just put the old ones back on because the hose is stuck to them and I don't want to tear it off. Any suggestions!! Thanks.

When I put my new frame badges on I just pulled off those rubber pieces and restuck them on the new frame badges(after properly positioning them) and they stuck on just fine. They're a little tight getting back in the hole, but that helps with sealing it and, well,......we like it that way don't we?
