TOPIC: My backyard

My backyard 1 year 3 weeks ago #1

Here is a quick blast down my backyard with my brother.
Apologies for the bad camera angle, couldn't find my proper GoPro link so my fender is in the way especially when my suspension is compressed :-(
But gives you an idea of the Great Ocean Road and how scenic it is.

It's hard to go fast here, mostly due to so many blind corners and people with with caravans coming into your lane, buses full of tourists stopping for photos, etc ...
But also due to such a scenic view you will miss if you are not careful :-)

Nice roads and even nicer scenery  ! I kinda like the position of the GoPro, really gives you an idea of how much the suspension soaks up the bumps in the road!

There were a couple of issues on this ride.

1. I couldn't find the short link for my go-pro. The short link still shows the fender, but its a very small proportion of the screen and I don't mind that so much

2. There was a southerly wind and a huge swell blowing lots of salt onto roads, cars, bikes and to be more precise the lens of the camera making the video blury.

Problem with my chest mount is the fact that you can see the speedo and all and I have lots of such video, but I am not comfortable putting it on Youtube :-)

Thanks for the ride Kris! Enjoyed it very much.. Your bike sounds like a 67 Chevelle SS I used to have. :) I bet you're finally very pleased with the way it runs & sounds. The flash just really smooths things out, and the Brocks makes sweet music the whole time you ride ;) I still marvel at the job Yamaha did on the new Vmax. Smoothing out all kinds of road conditions, and keeping the beast sure footed in all situations, was no easy feat, yet they did a marvelous job with our muscle bound cruiser. The suspension allows you to comfortably eat hiway, and saves the rider from fatigue.. You really see those forks work :)

Your bike is looking sweet! The new Scoop LED's look similar to your cam covers for a more complete look ;)

Thank you for posting Kris. I enjoyed the surf shots. You got some great surf breaks down there. I actually liked the camera view between the forks. It was nice for a change. As Bob stated the bike sounds great. Nice roads with good corners. Thanks again.
