TOPIC: My backyard

Thanks guys. I am lucky to have it in my back yard so to speak
The best time to go is during the week, much less traffic. It is a dangerous destination. Many blind corners and many people with long and wide caravans so have to be careful at all the times. Not to mention the scenery being distracting I took the video of the scoop lights as requested capt to show you the day brightness. I think the are pretty bright I just received the bottom set. They are 71mm so a smaller diameter than required by about 2mm, but its all they had so it will have to do. I will post up a thread once I have the bottoms installed as a complete set No safety on the camera, just the 3M stuff and never came off. I just used the wrong link. Hey Joey, I don't mind if you want to use the idea, that's why we are all here to share. If I wanted to keep it a secret I wouldn't have posted it Take care of your self out there |

Hope the 80 MM fit the carbon scoops ok did not even think to mic it before I ordered them, I am seriously thinking about flush mounting the Photochromic ones I have mounted now in the lower scoop portion I love the multi color of them and really look very cool with the
6 Kelvin intensifier headlight from a distance they are predominately cobalt blue , dam blue haired old ladies would see me coming then. Thanks Kris you da man |

Thank you for posting Kris. I enjoyed the surf shots. You got some great surf breaks down there. I actually liked the camera view between the forks. It was nice for a change. As Bob stated the bike sounds great. Nice roads with good corners. Thanks again. +1 It was a treat. I will never ride there, but it sure is a wonderful road! Accept for the front fender the image of your camera was not bad at all. I'm amazing your got such a good sound & no wind noise. How did you do that??? |

Thanks Friede. Yes, that video wasn't great.
I found a flat spot right over the front fender where I could mount my GoPro and it's perfect from a no shake and good engine noise stand point. Because the GoPro is in a case of its own with an open back plate it captures the sound really well with almost no wind noise. The down side is the fender and the suspension travel. Now given this was extreme with half the shot covered by the fender. This isn't usually the case I assure you. I just grabbed the wrong link that lowered the camera too much and obstructed the view I will have to pay more attention next time when I chose the link |

I have the GoPro Hero Motorsports, but there is the new GoPro Hero2 that is out now.
Nice litle piece of kit and its waterproof. I go diving with it and works great! |

I am very happy with the GoPro. Check out this video Ash: www.starvmax.com/forum/general-vmax/159964-the-snowy-ride There are a couple in that thread on a nice day with a better mounted location That's shot at 720p 60fps. I don't tend to shoot 1080p as it only does 30fps. Kris |
