WOW!!!

I would probably have a heart attack if I even went half that distance on the Gen2.

I just slightly bounce the front wheel on my Gen1 with the Mrs on the back and think I'm a stunt rider!

Nice wheelie !! I have wheelied plenty of sport bikes but not the MAX. Is it hard to get up, I haven;t even tried to lift the front yet, not purposely anyway! If you know any tricks to get the MAX to wheelie let know, I just may have to try it myself!

No tricks that I know of. I have been doing wheelies on a Vmax since I got my first 1985 Vmax new in 1985.

I used to go down the road on the back tire at 60 mph using my knees to catch wind to stear me as I accelerated on and off the power to keep it balanced. I would shift to 2nd gear while in the wheelie and land at over 80 mph and the front tire would chirp. The only reason it came down would be because power drops off at red line. If only I could have shifted to 3rd it would have been fun... but scarey.

All you need is some good fresh pavment to get it to come up without spinning. Old pavment does not provide as much traction.

That picture was taken on very fresh pavment. and I would have been doing about 50 mph in that shot.

Like he said, the vmax isn't hard to wheelie when you want to, but the pavement has to be decent, otherwise you just spin. Yes, I've had the pleasure of shifting to 2nd and keeping it up thru 2nd a few times

Finding fresh payment around here is like finding a needle in a haystack , NO JOKE!!! I'll be lucky just to find any without any craters, I mean pot-holes. If I do I will have to give it a try .
