TOPIC: Quaker Steak & Lube 10-14

Quaker Steak & Lube 10-14 2 years, 3 months ago #1

Just another Bike night at the Quaker, but this one felt better to me. After laying Max down on a sandy curve a few weeks back, I finally got it repaired & presentable. Took off the Scorpion pipe today & fixed it up pretty well, and I wanted to change up the look again just a bit, so I got out the red covers & put them back on. The Avon tire has about 800 miles on it and it's getting thin, so that's next to do. The repairs I did myself & B Winston helped out with the scoops, so total cost for that fateful incident was $42 and a few ounces of skin.. I survived & Max did too. We made another night at the Quaker Few pics of the evening including my fav bartenders & bike pics..

Was able to fix the Scorpion muffler & other than a slight flat spot on the front right pipe heat shield, you can't tell it was down.

Still the only 09 Vmax at Quaker..

That Avons gettin thin & I'll sure be glad to get a Metzler back on it soon..

These 2 looked good together, I still like the black & red combo with charcoal metallic.

Was a decent turnout but not overly crowded. Yes my favorite bar tenders were there too

Band was rocking & the place was jumping, doing their usual big business and selling lots of food & spirits

It's getting dark here sooner now, so not many pics, but I snapped a few of my favs. The new Buel is sweet looking and always like the BMW's.

New Spiders are cool too

Victorys are cool too, I guess I just like the bigger bikes, including the Street Glide.

The orange bike I thought was sweet..

Beautiful weather, great sky, decent crowd, and another great night for me & Max to represent

10 months, 12,000 miles, 13 tires and a few bumps & bruises later we're still kicking it. See ya'll in Bradenton if you make it tomorrow

I always look forward to your pictures. I don't about "Community Accessory Master" but definitely the best non-professional pictures.
I still wish StarVMAX.com would put out a calendar of member's bikes and sell them. I'd buy 3! You would have to get a month.

Here is one of my shots but it ain't a calendar shot.

Notice the 1 1/2” wide strip of steel showing thru the center of my rear tire.

Actually, I got the blacked out muffler tips idea from you. Next step is to black out the entire bike like bwinston.

Yea, I just put a new rear on yesterday. I love new shoes!

It's there Steve, you gotta know what it looks like, but I see it. Shiny steel cords showing in the center (under turn signals). That tire's shot!

I shows up better of the not resizeed version.
I got home from that rally (120 miles)on a prayer. You could see the air inside that tire!
