BTW, for those who never been at Fisherman's Wharf in San Pedro (which I doubt), on a good sunny day one can have a $35.00 - $50.00 lunch and never regret about it.

Im game. But when I was reading this thread I heard some sobbing behind me. I turned around to see what the noise was and there was my vmax bawling her head(light) off. It seems she been looking over my shoulder and had read Art's last post and was now inconsolable. And to make things even worse... My trouble making Speed Triple is now pointing at my max and laughing her azz off. So Art, For the sake of keeping my family from having to go through the humiliation of trying to get good gas mileage which could lead to a mutiny on the highway. You might want to find someone that actually gives a flying f%#k about gas mileage. And have them help you do the "lets see how great of mileage we can get on a Vmax/how much carbon can I pack in my engine/why did my bike leave me" challenge.

: )

BTW... max it up, are you an owner of that restruant or on commission there or something? Just curious.

Nope!
I just like the place! And it is not a restaurant! It is many restaurants, or rather kitchens, where you can choose what you want them to cook for you.

I could not meet this weekend or next Saturday so earliest would be Jan 24 for me

"max it up"...the Fisherman's Wharf lunch sounds good...

Now, we just need to have some dates (primary and alternate perhaps) and see which would work best for everyone...

Art, If we are going to do this we should hook up somewhere in the middle of us then ride in there together.

Ok, first is it the Fisherman's Wharf in San Gabriel that we are planning to have lunch at???...and where do we want to meet to start with???...

Somebody that knows the area, just decide where to meet and the time on Sunday, 24 Jan (Primary) or Sunday 31 Jan (Alternate)...

Steve...you coming west of I-10???...

Of course, I will be coming up the I-5 and was planning on hooking on to the I-405 but it depends on where we are meeting with the others up there...

Steve, we can meet anywhere you want...just tell me after we know where we are going to meet the others...

In any case, I will need to f&"$"%%" FILL UP before I even get there...there ain't no way I'm doing "double nickel" on the I-5 corridor...that would be suicide...

Correction! Fisherman's Wharf is not in San Gabriel. It is in San Pedro.
Since there were no objections to meeting in San Pedro, may I suggest a sequence of events?
1. Meeting at 11:30 at Walker's Cafe at
700 West Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro, CA 90731-7133. Some times it is compared to a Rock Store scaled down to a "hole in the wall". It is a good place to get a cup of coffee immediately upon arrival. Do not count on anything fancy there - just a cup of coffee and bunch of local and not so local bikes to look at.
2. Around noon a short few hundred feet ride for the first photo op to Korean Bell of Friendship at: Angels Gate Park, 3601 S Gaffey Street, San Pedro, CA 90731
Any one who likes Bruce Lee movies will recognize this place.
3. One minute later and a hundred feet further a second photo op at: Port of Los Angeles overlook, 3470 S Gaffey St, San Pedro, CA
4. From there straight for the grab at: Fishermen's Wharf, 818 Sampson Way, San Pedro, CA 90731. The Fishermen's Wharf parking lot may be recognized in Vin Diesel movie “A man apart”. In episode when drug deal went bad… really bad... lots of shooting… explosions…

Ok, sounds good to me also...

The only thing now is watching the rain next week...I think the rain should be past by week's end but will have to hook back up towards the end of the week and make a final decision then...
