Badger or Lee. I could careless about this thread but was wondering if you would PM me or post here what the median pay is in your country and compare that to the us dollar and Vmax cost differences. Do you guys really pay more in relative terms? Do you get my question? If so congrats. I am just curious. I see what you guys pay for bikes and I am like DAMM!!!!! How do they do it with taxes, gas etc? Thank you. Median income in the USA is $50,311 in 2008 My guess is it went way down in 2009. www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/release...e_wealth/012528.html Thanks Hi Mike. The median income in the UK for 2009 was £21,892. This equates to $35,313. As Kenko has already pointed out, a new Vmax in the UK is £20,000 which equates to $32,261 Our gas prices are the equivalent of $7.5 for a US gallon We certainly have to save for our goodies. hangarnc wrote: ....The real killer is finding a shop with reasonable rates when getting our private jets worked on. ok... so it seems that the pricing at least for leisure items is inflated due to taxes and other fees added to the initial price???
if so then the question becomes one of service for taxes paid and how one defines QUALITY of LIFE. I just hope that the folks in the EC are getting the services and support they deserve from their government after this seemingly 'taxation rip-off'. It almost seems like in the EU you get punished for trying to have fun..(i.e. taxed the hell out for leisure) VP)( |

I worked in the automotive industry for several brands at the Manufacturer side and know for a fact that Audi, Volkswagen and BMW have a negative consolidated contribution for every car sold in the US (except top model lines), thus including the transfer pricing effects.
All view the US as a strategic market where market share is still higher on the BSC and more important than profit (of course within reason). This is the same for Japanese manufacturers... Just think, I paid USD 30,000 for my Gen2. A Japanese motorcycle in Japan!, where is the logic in that? and we've all seen the Y's gear prices... And let us not start about taxes, mine are getting very close to 50%! Regardless of average incomes, GDP etc, we all bought it as dream come true / "value for money" comparing it to what available to us!! If I would compare all domestic prices with US prices, I probably would have a lot more money in the bank as I couldn't enjoy spending it on the finer things in life... |

Someone has given me a way to get rid of that monstrous tach sitting out in the breeze. I cant believe how much sleeker the bike looks without it. |
