Well given all the Buzz created here, that's Kind of disappointing. The Announcement was like, well designed, american made, lots of extra Power at a reasonable (cheap) Price available immediately.

I figure this Exhaust didn't meet the Expectations created here.

As i said, i like the Look a Lot, but at that Price, i'd sure choose another Option at a more unreasonable Price.

Well this coming from someone living out in Europe (where prices are exorbitant)and the fact that this is 50% cheaper than the Acrapovic.. your comment makes no sense... but again... you rarely make sense in your postings...

995 for a complete system with the excellent quality and craftsmanship V&H is known for... its a bargain. Perhaps your comment shows a but of jealousy given the fact that you are stuck at least for now with the EUROPEAN choices... no?

question about Vance and Hines pipes? 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
I saw in the January 2010 Cycle World an ad for Vance and Hines CSONE Exhaust slip-ons. A nice looking pipe I think would look great on the MAX! Is it possible? I'm not that savvy in the MOD helm .
This question I asked about 1 month ago nobody responded :cigar:

You were smack on right on that Vmax821...they have created the VMax choice based on the CS One canister and design.

You will be very happy with the system... just have to make sure t ask your dealer to be watching for its release... V&H do not sell directly to the public....

Well all, I don't see where the pipes are equaled. Maybe a little bit. I do agree with the pricing it's fantastic compared to ackrobitch.

I am not sure about the look of the mufflers. What is so fantastic is all the different approaches to an exhaust system. It seems most are still taking the approach to the two muffler system, which is
OK, but others may not like that. I do hope in time exhaust suppliers will give a one muffler system a go~~~

Just like in the beginning, (if my memory still works) Supper Trapp system which is a simple slide on system for the Gen1 and later came the Kerker full system.

In time there should be an approach for a single muffler system for Gen2 utilizing the factory headers.

~~~~~~just my thoughts~~~~~~
Well, to be honest, if i were in your Shoes, had lend them my Ride for nearly half a Year and they would come back with such a "wonderful Product" i'd be embarrassed too.
There's no Comparison between the Akra and the V&H, except they both fit on the same Bike. Is the V&H made out of Titanium ? No, it's made out Unobtainium. Is it as light as the Akra ? Is it at least as light weighted as the stock titanium System? Does it enhance Power or Torque Curve at least as much as the others do ?
I don't doubt the Quality, V&H is usually up to par. American made ? Who knows ?
A Bargain ? Sorry, I don't see the Bargain-Part anywhere ? It's looking good, yes, but other than this i can see no Advantage in any technical Matter. If the announced MSRP stays at 995.00, it's cheaper than the Akra sold in US, yes, but there are so much Non-Advantges between those two, it's non-compareable just like our big V-4 is not compareable to any other Bike sold.
Jealous ? Me ? No... just the Satisfaction that V&H made you chew a Lot on the Mouthfull Bites you have had in Past. THEY can't live up to the Buzz YOU created.
Besides, if these would sell here in Europe offically, the Price would be around the Price of an Akrapovic. I could show you a Lot of other US-Products for that Matter.
I like the looks of the exhaust and surely hope to get a chance to run it on the very same dyno we use for all our test here for the site.
Right now the Akrapovic has made the best power and best curve so far, followed by the X-pipe (and my own custom prototype).
I would love to keep adding the performance numbers of these systems to a single list of charts for all exhausts out there.
185 might not be bad at all - if it is with the stock airbox. Once would expect this system to make similar numbers as the Akrapovic.
