Kodiak,

I agree with you. Thanks for bringing the topic back in line. ...

Anyway back on topic... It seems that during the many runs and experimenting the cross bar did not make that much difference in output... actually there was a loss of HP with the cross bar.

I wonder if Mike or someone else can speak to that... ? :)

My only thought is an improperly placed X or H will not make the power it should, same with merges, spike and cone length/shape on 4-1 system. Not as much room under a bike to play with all of the fun tricks, but some are available. IMO

Lee,

That is an O2 sensor connecting point used to plug tools such as Auto Tune.

It just dawned on me that there are really no welded joints on this system. Everyting is pretty much slip joints with springs holding the joints in place. Makes for easy instalation!

This is what happens when your max is locked away in captivity for too long. You guys really need your snow to melt and melt fast otherwise your brains might overheat over pointless bull****.

Get a hold of your selves and go build a snowman or something

Another bit of information ....It seems that only 100 units will be produced. :-(

Everything that is really cool manufactured for our VMax is either very expensive or done in small quantities...that really sucks...

Considering the rather small number of Gen 2 Vmaxes produced so far it takes some courage to invest in fabrication even of 100 of such pieces.

The company I'm contracted with designing bike parts for, has told me they wouldn't even consider any aftermarket parts for a specific model UNLESS they knew they could sell 5000 pieces in the first batch. That means there should be at least 50,000 + units built by Star if you even consider a lot of guys and gals will buy them.

Sometimes the market is slow to catch up on specific models, and it's up to the smaller job shops who thrive on limited number production runs. Then after the numbers look good the BIG Corporations join in.

Just my 2 cents......

It took almost 7 years for the ROAD STAR to get the numbers right and a whole lot of pushing by me at the Owners level of engagement to decide to offer Road Star aftermarket chrome. Numbers, Numbers, Numbers....

I recieved this Email from Vance and Hines today,
Murray, We are working on an exhaust for the Vmax but we are not even close to releasing it. We don’t have pricing yet and no it is not true that we are only making 100. We will have some info on this exhaust later in the year.

Thank you,
