Finally got it to post!

I was able to take it for a ride today and do a little testing. I am running it with UFO fuel programer (probably on the rich side) Stock air filter with modified air box.

Felt very good. Better with muffler off. So sure I need to increase muffler size to 2.5" inlet/outlet

I now know that I have room to fit in a 4-1 collector based on this design with out losing any ground clearance. It will have to wait though until I get some cars fixed around here

Oxygen sensor is located in final collector so reads all four cylinders. A cone will be added to the out let of this pipe to bring it up to 2.5" outlet size and allow for larger muffler.

First step was building a 2-1 colector for the rear cylinders.

Second step was to merge 2-1 collector for rear cylinders into a 3-1 collector with the front cylinders.

So it breaks down like this:

Two 1.5" stock rear header pipes are merged into a collector with a 1.75" outlet.

Two 1.75" stock front header pipes are merged into a 3-1 collector, with a 2" outlet, along with the rear 2-1 collector.

Final outlet size for the muffler/can will be increased to 2.5"

Now this design has some real power potential.
Just look at the angles into the collector, this thing will FLOW.
And a sound reminiscent of a Gen 1 4 into 1.

The guys that have done the most work to their bikes all seem to have pictures/videos of their bikes in the snow. Burrrr!
Hope the snow is gone soon and you get to put many miles on it soon.

Every time I build one of these it gives me another idea on how to improve the design. I have at least one more design in mind. I know now that I can fit a 4-1 collector under the bike with out causing clearance problems. It would look very simmilar to this 4-3 system.
I had the basic design on paper before the 4-3 but then started having doubts about clearance. Plan on going back now and working a little with the original design.

It's surprising how easy it is to piece together your own system with pipe and a hack saw when you build the system on the bike.
