Repost or no, ya gotta love the Gen1

Those are awesome bikes, but look at what you have to do to them. The Gen 2 IMO stands on its own in "stock" mode.

You dont "have" to do anything to the Gen 1 to make it cool. Anything you do add to it is just icing on the cake. And remember Tom, without the Gen 1s being born your the fastest thing in your garage would be a step through scooter. (NO Gen 2 without a Gen 1). Those are great pictures Steve. Great to see you around again Bud.

Yeah, a side stand. LOL. OMG, It doesnt even have a center stand!!!

Your right SD, back in "NINETEEN EIGHTY FIVE" it was cool in stock form. They are plain ugly without some upgrades to the look.

Those are the reason I kept my Gen1 !!!!!

I wish I could marry the two.

Considering the weight of the Gen 2, I am not sure how useful the center stand would be even if it had one. I know that heaving my 600 pound Honda CBX was a a mjor endeavor and the Gen 2 is 80 pounds heavier than that. Besides, omitting the center stand saves weight which is an important factor on the Gen 2. Nice to have, but not strictly necessary.
