Hope to ride a new V max (end 2009, 0 KM) in about 1-2 weeks.

With the x-pipe and AIS-mod.
Tail tidy, and new turnsignals.

Aesthetics will be my winter project.

Glad to hear you didn't get majorly hurt.

I've heard the same thing about new tires and the dangers of how slick they are, especially many more miles down the road than 100 because you don't always corner hard and the coating can remain on the outer tread edges many miles down the road.

I think a short, controlled first gear burnout (stopped with front brake on full) may solve that issue prior to putting the bike on the road with the new tire. Give it a nice lean side to side as much as possible and you shouldn't have a problem getting traction right away.

I'd rather sacrifice a little tire tread than my bike or my life, especially seeing what happened to you.
