TOPIC: Can anyone beat this?

Re: Can anyone beat this? 1 year 8 months ago #11

yeah yeah....got home and wanted to post the pic, as you did....but had nothing else to say....so..

BTW, would love to hear feedback along the same lines, with respect to auxilary tanks.....I'm sure there are many variations out there....

......with the Capt's Aux I've tapped off 5.82 gallons from bone dry ......

Seen some larger tanks on here in the past...would love to know what is possible

My bad. I missed the point of the thread. A few months back, I would fill up at a Chevron station. When I filled up the readout on the pump said 3.9 gallons. The second time that happened, I called bullshit on a bone dry 3.5 gal tank. I went home and filled up my plastic 2 gal can from empty and it said 2.2- a 10% error. I wrote an email to the Attorney General in Hawaii. I received a response saying they were forwarding the info to the dept of scales and weights. I went back to the Chevron a couple weeks ago with the plastic can and the readout on the pump said 1.9 gallons this time. Not sure if that's whats going on you guys pumps or not.

my maximum fill was: 4.1 Gallons
bevor I fill up , I pump off the tank to know excatly how mutch Liters I can fill in.
So I konw when the tank lamp come on it rest 3.5Liters. Normal drive 50Km with reserve.

Very impressive, but I got you all beat. I ran out of gas and coasted into the gas station. No pushing. Read it and weap:

I don't plan to beat anyone as far as fill-ups, but I thought it worth mentioning that on a cross-country trip a couple of years ago in eastern Wyoming, I went 135 miles on a tank of fuel before I became a pedestrian. My bike was in stock configuration at the time with moderate driving as I was towing two Harleys behind me. FYI,
