What's up everyone in Max land... Just wanted to know how much longer tell the Old Daddy Max, 1985- VMX1200 . Becomes classified as a classic bike. Or if the value will go up on it @ all ? I only have around 28000, miles on mine, not too bad for an 85, but it did set up for a few years. So that has allot to do with it.. Okay, just wanted to put it out there and see if it would be worth hanging on to for a few more years...

Q.....30 years old and it is considered an antique....so you got 7 more years (2015) before you'll know fer sure if it will be worth something special.
I have 26K on mine, and I hope to put on a lot more, and i don't really watch the millage. I also only do stuff to it that I can reverse (plus I keep the parts) just in case I do want to put it back to original. If you can, I would keep it, just soo your not kicking yourself in the ass 7 years down the road. For example...in '81 I bought a 1970 convertable Challenger body only....2 years later I completely restored it myself and dropped a 440 in her...after 2 years of being a everyday driver, got tired of the 3.91 gears whinning and trying to leave a stoplight with a 3500 stall convertor inconspicously. sold her for $4000 and bougt anew 5.0.......little did I know that they only made 1500 of them and in crap shape is worth close to 6 figures now. Just an example, Chris |
