Shinko didn't have a tire back then.. Not that I'd trust em anyways.. My big ass @ 278lbs, in high speed play (sometimes in the wet) I trusted the Z Rated Metzlers and lived to tell about it.. so right now i have a 210/40-18 Me880 on the rear (pretty much brand new) so i can still fit the stock 200/50-18 right when this tire is done? The 210 40 18 Metz is ok for drag racing & straight line riding, but not the best choice for handling in the curves. The 200 works much better.. You can mix & match brands, front to rear without worry, but finding the pair that's sure footed in all conditions is what matters, (at least to me). I've got an intall appointment for two new Metzlers next week, as well as perform recall. Glad to see some good things about the tires. My original plan was Avon, but dealer informed me rear in the "odd" size is not available, so plan B ended up being a matching front and back Metzler.
Dealer states vast majority of cruisers and power cruisers opt for the Metz.
I'll gladly share impressions once I get a few miles under my belt. The stock Bridgestones lasted 8500 miles

Got the Shinko Verge 011 installed in the front and rode about 75 miles. Qtipp wasn't lying that the bike just wants to really lean over with little or no effort. i mean i'm just braking in the tire but very noticeable so far. can't wait to install the rear tire. so dropping from 210/40-18 to a 200/50zr-18.
