I went to from south florida to austin tx and back the way there took 2 days it was a 24 hour ride and it wasnt to bad i wish i had pegs but it was fine as far as the gas i was happy i didnt have the aux tank i needed to stop and get off every fill up

The way i see it, the 100 mile tank range insures you take a break every 100 miles, thats no bad thing when your doing a long haul, keeps you fresh.

Rode from London to Lake como Italy 2 years back 2500 round trip, on a gen 1 max. I wouldn't of wanted to do it on anything else...well, apart from a gen 2 perhaps.

Longest I did was 5.500km on a Gen 1 in 7 days; Pretoria to Cape Town in South Africa; 2 days getting there, 3 days stay and then 2 days back. Had an additional tank with 7 litres, otherwise I wouldn't have made it through the Karoo.

From Athens - Greece to Frankfurt -Germany and back after two weeks, single ride.
