TOPIC: Time for Aussie VMAX Group ????

Time for Aussie VMAX Group ???? 1 year 2 months ago #1

:hmmm: I have been thinking it may be time to start an Australian VMAX group? on this forum that we all know is the best in the world. :yeah: It would be great to know where other bikes are :map: for swapping or buying gear. e.g.I have a set of pazzo resets I tried but dont like? plus more!
It may lead to other social outings  :brushyourte and rides :steam: and/or :vacation: like the bros do in the U.S. :goodbad: (kidding)
Also we could add VIN and other shield numbers so that we can swap and get them the same. this may add to the sale price??? (If you sell :arghhh: ) or better keep as an asset. (The bank owns everything except my MAX)
Any Aussies interested???
Vic

I'm in,

The social outings might be a bit tricky for me to attend, as I have to cross Bass Strait first. Could meet up at the Phillip Island GP though, b'cos I'm hooked after last year.

Been attempted before without a lot of interest.
Where do I sign-up Vic? When you coming over bud? 3K kms is nothing to sneeze at.

Dare I say that our Victoria group is the biggest Gen II gathering I've ever heard of in Australia through this site
4 Vmaxes is the best we could achieve due to location and interest.

Now We always have 3 at most rides, add Pokey and Sam (Vmaxaust) and his brother, madmitch and that's 7 I know of that is easily achievable in Victoria at least

I know 2-3 guys from here that are in Sydney, one in Gold Coast and one around Canberra (Adam)

Wouldn't it be great if we all got together at the GP or the Snowy Ride one year?

Yep, Kris is right. Trying to start any sort of social group here seems to be hard going. Before I bought the Vmax I had an MT-01 and was trying to get the Aussies to form a social group and was met with a wall of apathy, even though there are plenty more of MT-01's than Vmaxes here in Melbourne.
I even had a contact from one of our StarVmax brothers who lives 20 mins from me ask me to let him know when we were riding and as soon as I tried to contact him, he went into silent mode and never responded. Weird! :

You guys in the US are lucky, cause there are just so many more of you.

Also, for those of you who have taken a ride with a group of Vmaxes, you know how awesome it sounds and how cool it feels when you cruise through a small town and all eyes turn to look at you!! :jumping: :jumping:

Gforce is interested but I live up in Cairns and my new/old stock 2010 is in the States. Going over for a big ride around when the accessories I want arrive from Japan. Should have it imported here later this year then maybe I can ride down for a meet
