TOPIC: Broadford Bike Bonanza 2012: Pic heavy

Broadford Bike Bonanza 2012: Pic heavy 1 year 2 months ago #1

Every year Motorcycle Australia puts together an event to promote bikes. This year's theme were vintage and pre 1985 bikes mostly. Most of these were way before my time, but I though some of you guys might appreciate some of these or it might bring back some good memories.

Many classics like: Indian, Norton, Ducati, Vincent, etc ...

I was hopping to see a few Gen 1s, but not a single one!!!
Lots of guys recognised the Gen II as past owners or just bike bike's reputation I guess

The event takes place over a couple of days and covers everything from Dirt, enduro and road.
I spent most of my time in the pits of the Road class.

Here are some photos on the day. I will upload some videos to capture the sound as it was amazing
Too bad I have no 4D equipment either as the smell from the pits was like spring flowers to me

PS: If anyone has a soft spot for any of these classics and would like a full size HD photo emailed to them just send me a PM or post your email here and I will send it through.

What some of these guys do on their vintage bikes would put me to shame on my Vmax. They have some hairy kohunas. Speeds they go at and stop with drum brakes, lean angles and riding position. Makes me appreciate the motorcycling heritage that I wasn't lucky enough to experience
