Finally I got to ride the beast just awhile ago. I really enjoyed it. I wanted to ride more but the yamaha rep acted like he didn't want me to ride it again so I left. It was alot like my 97max but alot smoother. Couldn't get on it but all in all it was a good ride. Can't wait to find one at a good price and pick her up.

Thanks for the support vmaxbabe, didn't know if I was along on here. Looking and waiting. I will find her in the future, I missed out on the one in Texas. 11,000 was a great price. I could kick myself for not jumpin on that one. But I am trying to do my research to find out everything I need to about her before she comes. Thanks Dannie

A test ride really isn't going to give you a proper impression of the bike.. mostly because the rep doesn't let you FEEL what the Vmax is all about.. This bike is about POWER, and LOTS of it! Once you crack the throttle, and get that feeling of being hurtled across the planet, you're hooked Don't get me wrong, it has great handling & superb brakes, but this bike is about acceleration!

Your right No_Max. I sure couldn't get to crack the throttle, but I have been a vmax addict since 1985 when she comes to the house I will have to practice on the acceleration part alot. Would love to try and get down into around 6.1 or 6.2 in the 1/8. Don't have no 1/4 around here. I will be going to see MadMax in June to see about convertin it to chaindrive, I just love the way his bikes look. I know I'm sick but maybe when I get the max pill at the house my sickness will start to get a little better.

I had it bad with my 97 max. To be honest I have already mapped out everthing I want and were it is to buy. I hope Paul(Madmax) and I can come to a price on the 240 chaindrive in June. It seems like the sickness never stops.
