The CF guy is on vacation. Hopefully I will know more in the next week or two. Our last conversation was good from the standpoint of "IF" they could make it, but not so good for a cost per unit in small production runs. Good news is, I am getting better at 3D in Rhino so I am able to assist in making the mold with my router.
At some point, I will have to toe the "market water" to see how many would want to be in the first batch so I could have an idea of how many to order. This will give me a better idea of where I can be on the retail price. I don't need deposits or pre-orders. Just an idea of interest. Next week I will start a newsletter group on the GuruedGear website to informally gather a list of folks interested. It will happen, even if I have to hand-make them myself (I know what it does and I want one that bad), but at what cost and how many are the only questions. |

This would be good place to describe in detail what vroomy is, I think. A concept I came up with back when I did the VMaxGuru website and blogged about it. I have been thru a couple of different companies to try to develop an affordable product and have been unsuccessful to date. Essentially, it is a replacement top for the air box that has 3 to 4 times the air filtration of the modified stock air box top. It will make the top end power near that of fxTuner's Big Air. Since it will retain the YCC-i stacks, it should make greater mid-rage numbers than anything offered before. I have dyno tested the bike with the air box top off before with nothing but the bare YCC-i / bottom velocity stacks exposed to open air and I know there are some very desirable numbers to pursue there. |
