I wish, the plate is not big enough.

Further to my last post and in response to your PM concerning the removal of the rubber stem, here are some pictures of removing the rubber stem...the part that fits into the stock Whaletail, is a snug fit but the whole assy can be twisted off rather easily...

Once you have it off of the whaletail with the cable and connector, then kind of follow the below pictures...

On the last picture, of the Tidy Tail side plate would go in place of that metal triangular plate that is shown but the phillips head screw is reused...make sure you use some 242 Lock-Tite or similar product on the screw threads...

Thanks!!!! Just making sure. I have to cut the wire to get the Rubber stalk and metal plate off. I think I can figure out everything else.

Ok, I can understand that you may have to cut the metal plate just enough to extract the cable from within the hole that it goes through but you do not have to cut the plastic retainer (stalk as you refer to it, I think???)...the hole in the plastic retainer is large enough to feed the connector through it...relatively easily...

One thing I forgot to ask you is, "do you have a Non-USA model???...where the rubber stems are smaller than the USA Models...

If so, it MAY be true that the cable connector will not feed out through the hole in the plastic retainer...that, I am not sure of...

Some people that would probably know is Lee or vmaxmercer...

Are these the "Stalks" that you are referring to???...
