TOPIC: Otec Cover Installation

Otec Cover Installation 1 year 3 weeks ago #1

I was hoping someone can help me that have installed Otec covers. I purchased the Ocet Turbo cover set. I have searched diagrams and I think I know the answer but a little imput is always helpful.

1) I purchased the left side crank case cover. This Otec Turbo cover only replaces the brown cover. I believe it is call a cover cap. I do not believe this cover requires a gasket. Am I correct? Also there are two holes in this new cover. One in the center and looking at the cover one at 9 o'clock. There are two plugs that Otec supplied. I see that these plugs (Cap type screws) require an o ring. Will I loose oil when I replace these plugs or cover. In the attachment is a picture from Otec's web site of the crank case cover.

2) Is there a gasket required to replace the 8 cam covers and will I loose any oil when I replace these.

I purchased the turbo set, bi-color cam covers, and bi-color hub cover from Wild Brothers. Must say Bill is a great guy to deal with.

Thanks for your help.

The only place you may lose a little oil will be the gear cover (smaller one). There are no gaskets for all the other covers.

Thank No_Max for the increasable fast reply. One other question is on the rear hub cover. They sent me a new oil seal installed on the hub cover. Will I loose the differential fluid when that cover is pulled?

Thank You.

If it's up on a stand it won't be too bad. You will lose a little, but not much :)
