Ragz: How about telling the forum what "quality synthetic" you prefer instead of laughing about my question. I know from experience keeping up my Radian that not all oils are the same. For example Rotella is designed for diesel engines. Engines that operate at higher temperature (such as diesel) have different requirements (viscosity points etc).

I am looking for help in deciding the best oil for my G2 vmax. If this is too basic of a question for this forum I am sorry. Maybe I should look for help elsewhere.

I posted my questions so that I would learn from more experienced members.

Well I know I for one couldn't really give you an opinion worth anything.....because how would I know which is better?

Not sure anybody here does.

I've tried to do research but every thing I've found has been biased.

I can tell you what I've used, and that is Amsoil and more recently Mobil 4T, both synthetic.

I think all the oils mentioned are good reputable oils and you probaly couldn't go wrong with any of them.
And as already said I don't think any of us could say which is the best , we have no way of knowing.
My choice is Alisyn Pro Drive 21 www.aerospacelubricants.com/ I've used Alisyn oils in race engines for a long time and never had a oil related failure ever , but the same can be said about all the oils mentioned above. I guess Im just agreeing with what most have told you "Use a good name brand synthetic and change it at the right intervals and you'll be fine". And do use a very good oil filter , can't beat the Napa Gold #1358 , its made for napa by wix.

I use Silkolene Pro 4 Plus. It's a bit pricey but my engine's worth it. :thumbsup:

Hi Bob Is the Silkolene pro 4 plus a full synthetic oil or semi as ive not done the DD mod yet

It's full synthetic, Esther-based Race-Tech Oil.

What squeeze said.

And fully synthetics do not make the clutch slip as long as they are motorcycle oils.
