TOPIC: K&N CM9908

K&N CM9908 1 year 1 week ago #1

:arghhh: I installed my K&N lastnigh. :nope: Not a very good time. Talk about alot of screws. Well I got the air box off and took of the flap for the mod. I went to put the k&n on and it was tight. Fine not a problem until I went to put the box back together. It wouldn't fit. I had to shave down some of the plastic on the filter to make it fit. Is this normal. I turned the filter the other way with the filter stickin out and it wouldn't fit at all. Turned the filter inward and had to shave down the top of the filter plastic. Please let me know if I did something wrong. THanks

Hey if it fits it fits right? You did what you had to do, as long as it's sealed I'd say you're good to go. If you ever need to replace it get the one specifically for the Vmax. This one
