I'd rather have Tim's kit, but there are cheaper digital gauges. This one comes with a 1/8" pipe sensor. You'd need an adapter.

That gauge and sensor is sold as a package. The sensor specs said it came with thread adapters, but didn;t say which sizes. I doubt any would fit the m20. Would have to fab. that. I know there are cheaper digital gauges, but that is the only one i could find with a sorta small sending unit. The price really bites. Mounting cup will be another 25 or 30 smacks!

Just curious I have a gauge installed that Brett had in the past...when my bike warms initially it read just under maybe 8 or 9...the when the motor gets to operating temparature it drops to 1-2 at idle...I am running Motul 10w40 Esther...no issues with bike runs perfect from day one...should I upgrade to thicker oil...it is winter now in Australia so not much heat
Thanks Marko |

The gauge is not very reassuring sometimes but like having it anyway , Marko I would stick with the hi Ester 10-40 the oil passages are very small in newer engines and in the winter months you might not get enough quick enough , I am really not sure heavier grade oil is going to increase oil pressure anyway I am sticking with my Sikolene 10-40 even in the summer here in Florida

Nicest install I've seen to date TnVmax!
Great Job! I take it you fabricated the mount bracket yourself? You also had to get a longer cable as the one that came with the kit is short? |

I wish I could fabricate items that nice! But, credit goes to Tom at Cycle One Off. I contacted him when I heard he released a handlebar mounted kit. I bought a retro-fit kit to move the engine mounted kit up to the tach. I requested I didn't want the natural colored stainless steel hose, but instead I wanted the black hose. |

I like that, including the small gauge size. But, it mounts on the tach where my windshield mounts. It gives me a new idea though. If i could get that 90 degree banjo fitting with a short hose, maybe i could mount any sending unit behind the coolant catch tank. Nicest install I've seen to date TnVmax! Great Job! I have that kit on my 09 max. With my windshield I had to mount the gauge on the left side of the tach
