Filled up near home and in the past made it to the exit but fuel light always was on, well today i did some more test miles
out and back a few miles after i got off at the exit to see how far i could go till the light came on I pulled over at 92.3 miles and when i stopped to photo the odometer the light came on prob would have got another mile or two had i not stopped filled up with 3.202 gallons I averaged 75-85 mph and 2 triple digit blasts one over 120 passing a Vette that had passed me earlier just felt I needed to do that. My MPG has gone up for sure |

Thats for sure if I could ever ride this bike for any distance without the URGE to pin the Throttle bet i could see 100 miles
before the light that extra spark really makes a difference in the fuel department too. |

Everytime i make a pitch for these Takai coils I feel like i am trying to sell an Amway franchise after that "testing" post
But they make the difference hotter spark better burn more efficient more performance improved fuel economy. Countdown is on guys on the group buy. I have documented a couple day trips so far with almost a 10 % increase in Hi Way milage |

I didn't do as well as you did Bob on the test flight today.
Wanted to run the max out on the test track out of town before taking it in for the oil pump recall fix. running my new setup ....top speed was 174 mph don't think fuel economy was too good. lol Rick |

Youza Rick do you have a Speedo Healer ?
Make sure you do the Steps when you pick it up after the Recall to ensure oil pressure. And if you get the Coils let me know how they work out for you they help in every aspect. Must be a nice Test track how do you like the Mods ? Give me a run down |

My MPG has gone up for sure Capt., As you and most others know...these beasts normally get like 25-27 MPG but that time I went up north to Marks's place, I was cruising at 75-90 MPH all the way, except for my fuel stops and I got a final average of 42 MPG...I found that it gets the best mileage, if you keep the speed constant in 5th gear and even when passing, do it with little increase in RPM... Well, of course all the above only makes sense...the problem is, most of us have a real hard time keeping our wrists steady for hundreds of miles...especially when some idiot in a 'Vette or BMW or Mercedes has to show off to us...and we have to show off to them...lol... Mine seems a little better since the v2.0 reflash (Thanks Tim!) Usually 85-95 miles til the light comes on cruising on the hiway at 75-80.

Chuck don't know if you came up with anything yet but the Kuryakin magnetic expandable tank bag or the tour master one conceals the tank and gives you lots of room for needed things and stays put
80 miles or so was my norm city or hi way don't have my tank on right now so really enjoying the extra miles 95 or so ready to stop And stretch anyway. |
