Thank you Ernie. Yes I like the flat mat too. A suiting match for a gen 2 Vmax. I hope you enjoy yours too :)

Good Show my Man ! The winds in March near Boulder coming off the Divide can exceed 140 MPH and tear roofs off houses
and just destroy car windshields I can remember 3 semis in a row blown over they are called "Chinook winds " ? spell

That is why NOAA is home based on the front range in Boulder right in the thick of things.

Anyway glad you are safe and sound and know your love affair is beginning as it does and will turn in to obsession

No other Beastie like it .

Great story. Glad you made it home safe.

I used to live in Rock Springs, and that continual wind was not fun.

You could probably cut down half of the wind impact by getting rid of that wind catcher hanging down off the rear fender of every new Vmax. LOL. But seriously, getting a nice tuck on that license plate makes a nice difference in the looks (IMHO). Definitely shoudl be high on everyone's mod list.

Keep us posted on your future rides.

Excellent story Chaserz, thanks for the write up.
Hell, you had me on the edge of my seat like a Steven King novel. Congratulation on your new Vmax and glad you made it home safe.

Good job keeping it on the road. Lots of semi's with light loads get blown over along the I-80 corridor through WY.

+1

One of the rare times I've been scared on a motorcycle is on the I-80 wind tunnel trying to pass a semi-rig like those monster cross winds that Chaserz had to negoiate.....no easy when at any second a cross wind can throw you across a lane and the rig gives you a 180 suction towards those big wheels.

Hats off to you Chaserz....quite the maiden voyage!

Thanks for the First Ride story Chaserz, I totally enjoyed reading it! Also congrats on getting yourself and the bike home safe with those freaky windy weather conditions.

Now your hooked on the sickness of the quickness. :focus:
