Capt bob is in the process of making me a aux tank, and I'm trying to figure out wire i link it up to!

It hooks up to the vent hose under your seat and right under the gas cap. VERY simple hook up.. plug & play

So with the existing vent hose thats already there, do you just remove that altogether?... or just tape it to the bike until such a time when you want to remove the aux tank and go back to normal set up?.

Capt Bob supplies everything. It's a quick disconnect that lays out of the way when not used.
